Key Advice was founded in 2004 by Ingrid Van Begin and Sigrid Engelbeens, drawing on experience in company audit and review on the one hand, and in accounting on the other.
From the very beginning, we worked with a small but competent and efficient team, each member bringing their own individual skills. Our vision was to develop a high-quality, expert service offering while becoming a trusted point of contact for our clients, whether businesses, entrepreneurs or private individuals. Our approach is strongly client-oriented, built on long-term relationships and proactive advice.
We aim to go beyond mere figures and taxes, and we often accompany our clients from the launch of their business all the way through to sale or liquidation — and in some cases, even into the next generation.
Over these 22 years, we have built a solid reputation and established deep roots in the wine-growing region and its surroundings. We achieved this thanks to our loyal, experienced and trilingual team members — Ariëlle Van Begin, Bart Crabbé, Hilde Mariëns and Sam Steeno — as well as our independent colleagues. Our clients and ourselves can rely on them for day-to-day tasks and tailored advice.
Today, we are writing a new chapter. Recent developments in our profession — in terms of legislation, standards and technology — along with the concern of ensuring competent succession for our activities in due course, led us to seek a collaboration with a firm that shares our vision, our commitment and our dedication to quality.
It is with pride that we announce our firm is joining BFS. This does not mean a farewell to who we are, but a strengthening of what we do. This collaboration offers us the opportunity to support our clients even better, through access to a broader network of specialists, innovative tools and additional expertise.
What remains is our personalised approach. Our familiar faces, our commitment and our dedication to each client remain at the heart of how we operate. What changes is that we now have increased support, enabling us to meet the future challenges of our profession.
After 22 years, we are not writing a final full stop — we are looking forward to beginning a new chapter.
